Today . . .
1. There was no rain. Grateful for the peeks of sunshine.
2. We talked about Gideon in Sunday School.
We have our own tendencies to say, "My own hand has saved me." (Judges 7:2) In our weakness Christ's power is displayed. We prayed that we wouldn't leave the Gideon story by saying, "Be brave. You can do it." The reality is we can't. We need someone greater than ourselves, greater than Gideon. Praise God there is Christ--Greatest of All.
3. Sobering church service.
Good. Full. Lots of heavy hearts.
4. My cousin's 7th birthday party.
It was great to see a lot of my cousins and some of their babies!
5. There is this app that makes you fat. It's awesome. Fat Booth, or Fat My Face.
It's a good fight against obesity, and it makes for some laughs.
